Membership Tiers

Flickr Patreon guest $1/mo

This will allow you to see the original versions of my most popular photos on Flickr by following the link from the "blur-safe" versions which are replacing them to counter image theft. As a member you can simply click the "Patreon guest" link in the intro and you will be re-directed directly to the true image. You can "fave" the flickr version to re-find it later and then re-look at it via the link. Also you can leave a comment on the Flickr version (which will be most appreciated) and then both I and Marie, and many other Flickr viewers will see it.

Flickr "family" $2/mo

For those who would like to view my most popular pictures on Flickr (which at present can be seen as thumbnails).  You will be added as Flickr "Family", giving access to my "Patron's Gallery" and the associated private discussion group. Photos will be added at approximately one per day to the "Patron's Gallery", maintaining a constantly refreshed collection of 30 images.  Each year members will be able to choose one image which be sent as a limited-edition signed print, personalised to them as required, at a 50% discount – value approx. $25-200 depending on format and current price. This is calculated according to how many remain in the limited edition, so the value (and resale value) will steadily increase and can be tracked on my website.  Members who contribute meaningful comments or discussions on a proportion of the photos will, after one year be given a bonus discount on an additional limited edition print of their choice. Comments will remain permanently attached to the photos for future reference and discussion (unless they are deemed inappropriate and are edited out). There will also be a permanently visible section for open general discussion of photographic and processing technique, art, aesthetics and philosophy.

Appreciators of Art Photography $5/mo

This includes being invited to view and participate in my "Patron's Gallery" on Flickr (but you have to be a member of Flickr first). In addition, "Appreciators of Art Photography" have:  Access to a gallery of my photography on this site, posted at higher resolution than those visible anywhere else on the net. Photos will be posted one or two per week, and remain visible for 3-6 months, maintaining a constantly refreshed gallery of 100 images. They will include exclusive never-before published work as it is created. – (in development) access to a new Patreon site using the (much better) Flickr arrangement for viewing photos posted here. You will be able to view all those currently visible on this site (typically around 100), both in order of posting date and in albums by subject, location and year taken. Every three months, members will be able to choose one image which will be sent as a limited-edition signed print, at a 50% discount as above

Art photography enthusiasts $10/mo

For those actively involved in art photography or wishing to become so, Enthusiasts have all the benefits of Appreciators, plus: – (in development) access to a new Patreon site using the (much better) Flickr arrangement for viewing photos posted here. Not only those currently visible (typically around 100) but also all those that have been posted in the past (over 200 more) along with the comments that were made on Patreon - you are encouraged to participate in  discussion of my images, and make suggestions for alternative versions which I shall try to produce in response; - you have access to behind-the-scenes images and out-takes from photo projects; - you can post up your own work-in-progress for detailed discussion and suggestions for post-processing and further work; - access to videos of new projects as they are undertaken, and instructive tutorials; - priority booking and discounted rates for residential photographic courses planned in Cornwall and France.
