Локальна історія (Local History) is a Ukrainian magazine project founded in 2013, dedicated to preserving the oral history of Western Ukraine's towns and villages. Beginning with expeditions across the region, the creators meticulously collected firsthand accounts, scanned historical photographs, and interviewed elders to document daily life, customs, and significant events of the 20th century. Their work evolved to encompass texts, videos, and podcasts, offering a multi-faceted exploration of local heritage. Since launching their Patreon in May 2021, they've cultivated a dedicated community of 112 members, with 51 actively supporting their work financially. This community engagement, coupled with the project's unique approach to preserving fading memories, demonstrates the substantial impact Локальна історія is making on the cultural landscape of Western Ukraine. Their estimated monthly earnings range from $94 to $4700, reflecting the growing appreciation for their valuable contribution to historical preservation.
