Rpicomon is a passionate retro gaming enthusiast who launched their Patreon in June 2023, dedicated to building a modern recreation of the iconic 1997 V-Pet using a Raspberry Pi Pico. This project uniquely blends nostalgia with modern technology, offering a fresh take on a classic virtual pet experience. Currently, the project boasts a community of 100 members, with 19 dedicated paid patrons supporting its development. These patrons have collectively contributed approximately $100 to the project since its launch, highlighting the early but growing interest in Rpicomon's work. The project's uniqueness lies in its commitment to faithfully recreating the original V-Pet while leveraging modern hardware and software for improved functionality and accessibility.
