ZHUK is a unique and anonymous cyber-partisan group operating under the moniker 'bugs/zhuks'. Composed of individuals from various countries, they provide crucial support to those facing political persecution in Russia, facilitating their escape. Their efforts are entirely driven by a commitment to humanitarian aid, operating outside traditional political or organizational structures. Since launching on November 14th, 2023, ZHUK has built a community of 107 members, with 72 actively supporting their mission through paid memberships. These contributions, totaling an estimated $708, directly fuel their operations and enable them to continue their vital work. The anonymity of their members, coupled with their cross-border efforts, makes ZHUK a distinctive force in providing clandestine assistance to those fleeing oppression. Their success highlights the power of collaborative, decentralized action in the face of political persecution.
