African Holocaust Society

Established in 2001, the African Holocaust Society (rebranded on Patreon in 2020) is a non-profit civil society committed to the progressive and critical examination of African history and culture. Composed of a dedicated network of African scholars and writers, the Society aims to provide authentic and nuanced narratives, challenging dominant historical interpretations. Since its Patreon launch in December 2020, the Society has cultivated a community of 53 members, with 25 actively supporting their work through paid memberships. While financial contributions currently average between $28 and $560 per month, reaching an estimated $40 monthly average, this demonstrates a growing base of support for their vital research and educational initiatives. The Society's unique approach lies in its focus on collaborative scholarship and the empowerment of African voices in shaping the narrative of their own history, a crucial aspect often overlooked in mainstream historical accounts.
