Maxime, the creator behind Duome, started this project organically, initially without the intention of monetization. Duome is a dedicated platform focused on celebrating and tracking Duolingo streak progress, creating a unique 'Hall of Fame' for dedicated language learners. Since its launch in May 2019, Duome has garnered a community of 143 members, with 42 actively supporting the project through Patreon. This community demonstrates the impact Duome has on language learning motivation and the shared sense of accomplishment within its supportive environment. While financial success isn't Maxime's primary focus, the project has reached a significant milestone, generating an estimated $283 in revenue (ranging from $44-$440), showcasing the tangible value Duome provides to its users. What sets Duome apart is its niche focus on supporting and celebrating Duolingo users – a unique angle within the broader language learning community.
