@fuzzymemoriesThe Museum of Classic Chicago Television (FuzzyMemories.TV), launched in May 2014, is a unique online archive dedicated to preserving and sharing rare footage of classic Chicago television programming. Their collection includes incredibly rare finds such as unseen episodes of Bozo's Circus and Svengoolie, dating back decades. They've also unearthed one of only three known episodes of Mulqueen's Kiddie-a-Go-Go, and what are currently believed to be the only existing off-air recordings of WGN-TV's Creature Features and WFLD-TV's Screaming Mad George segments. This dedicated effort to recover lost television history has attracted a passionate community of 145 members, with 35 supporting the archive through paid memberships. Despite modest current earnings (estimated between $68 and $680), the Museum's impact on preserving local television heritage is significant, offering a glimpse into Chicago's broadcasting past for enthusiasts and researchers alike. The project's continued growth highlights the enduring interest in local television history and its importance to cultural memory.
