Since launching in July 2018, Open5e has become a significant hub for 5e resources, offering a unique alternative to other platforms through its commitment to open access and community collaboration. Currently supported by 33 paid patrons, Open5e demonstrates the dedication of its community, achieving significant growth despite remaining ad-free. The project's impact is evidenced by its wide reach, providing valuable tools and resources to a substantial portion of the D&D player base. Unlike many similar resources, Open5e prioritizes open access, fostering a collaborative environment for the D&D community. The project’s success is a testament to the value of providing high-quality, accessible D&D content without resorting to advertising.
