The Geordie, the Witch and the Wench chronicles the real-life adventure of two friends, Captain Simon and First Mate Eryn, as they pursue their dream of sailing a vintage wooden boat from Vancouver to Australia. Their journey began in November 2016 with a bold ambition: to sell everything and embark on this epic voyage. By February 2017, they were hard at work in Vancouver, preparing their vessel for the open sea. Launched on Patreon in July 2017, their video content offers a captivating glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of long-distance sailing, boat restoration, and the bond between two friends facing extraordinary circumstances. With a current community of 76 total members, including 29 paid patrons, their project has already achieved significant milestones, demonstrating the compelling nature of their story and the strength of their online following. The unique blend of historical charm (the vessel itself) with modern-day adventure, coupled with genuine camaraderie, sets their video series apart in the sailing and adventure content space.
