OpenPLC

OpenPLC is a pioneering project dedicated to developing and maintaining a fully functional, standardized open-source Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Since its launch in October 2020, the project has garnered a community of 159 members, with 22 actively supporting its development through Patreon. These contributions, totaling an estimated $154 monthly, are crucial to OpenPLC's continued advancement. Unlike proprietary PLCs, OpenPLC prioritizes affordability and transparency, making industrial automation accessible to a broader audience for research and practical applications. The project's unique value lies in its completely open-source nature, both in software and hardware, allowing for community collaboration, customization, and fostering innovation within the industrial automation field.
